Welcome to my blog. I am Helen Mary Thompson and I love to create.  It all began with textiles but now I use anything from a range of materials and paints,  to discarded papers, wire, driftwood  and what other people throw out as rubbish.  I am inspired by colour and simple shapes,  telling stories  or  expressing emotions.  My work is built up in layers so it cannot be comprehended at a glance - the more you look, the more you see.  The buttons on the right show samples of my work under different subject matter with some insight to my interests and my thoughts during the creative process.
